YOU FEST is a new festival, produced by LMA for the next generation of creative students, featuring opening & closing parties and 2 days of workshops, panels, Q&As, mentoring sessions, keynotes & live entertainment across music, film, tv, acting, dance, games design and musical theatre.

YOU FEST 2027 is returning to London! You Festival will be based at our LMA London campus and the wider estate at Here East, Stratford, East London. See venue page here

YOU FEST 2027 is open to LMA degree students (L4-L6) and L7 masters students from both London and Liverpool campuses, as well as returning LMA alumni.

BTEC students from our Liverpool campus will also be invited

Just head back to Home page and select BOOK FREE TICKET from top menu, you will be directed to a simple page to fill in as we need to collect your name, course and level to issue you a wristband at You Festival

To help bring all our attendees safely to London and back, we will partner with a coach company to get special, discounted rates on coach travel directly to the You Festival site. More details on this will be announced soon.

Direct trains are available from Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston via AVANTI WEST COAST and NORTH WESTERN RAILWAYS

Both services are showing discounted prices at present, so make sure you book early and use your 16-25 railcard for further discounts

To travel from Newcastle upon Tyne to London, your best options are either a fast direct train or a budget-friendly long-distance coach.

Option 1: By Train (Fastest & Most Convenient)

Trains run frequently throughout the day on the East Coast Main Line.

• Where to Board: Newcastle Central Station 

• Where to Arrive: London King's Cross 

• Journey Time: 2 hours 50 minutes (fastest services are ~2h 35m). 

• Train Operators:

  • LNER (London North Eastern Railway): Frequent direct trains with standard and first-class seating. 

  • Lumo: A lower-cost, all-electric direct rail service that also runs on this route.

Book several weeks in advance for "Advance" single tickets to get the cheapest price. Make sure you book early and use your 16-25 railcard for further discounts

Option 2: By Coach (Cheapest)

Coaches take significantly longer than trains due to road distance and stops, but they are often much cheaper.

• Where to Board: Newcastle Coach Station or John Dobson Street (depending on the provider). 

• Where to Arrive: London Victoria Coach Station (or stopovers like Golders Green / Finchley Road). 

• Journey Time: ~6 to 8 hours depending on traffic and stops. 

• Operators:

  • National Express: Frequent daily direct journeys. 

  • Megabus / FlixBus: Budget-friendly alternatives running multiple daily/overnight routes.

Ideal for night travel (sleeping on the overnight bus) or if you want to travel on a tight budget.

To get from London Euston to Stratford, you have a few easy transit options depending on whether you prefer the Tube, High-Speed rail, or the London Overground.

Option 1: Victoria Line to Central Line (Fastest & Simplest Tube)

1. At Euston, take the Victoria Line (Southbound) to Oxford Circus.

2. Switch at Oxford Circus to the Central Line (Eastbound) directly to Stratford.

• Travel Time: ~25–30 minutes.

Option 2: High-Speed Train via St Pancras (Fewest Stops)

1. Walk ~7 minutes down Euston Road to London St Pancras International.

2. Catch a Southeastern High Speed train heading toward Kent.

3. Get off at the very next stop: Stratford International.

• Travel Time: ~7 minutes train ride (plus the 7-minute walk). Note: Requires a National Rail ticket rather than a standard Tube cap.

Option 3: Victoria Line to London Overground (No Deep Underground Transfers)

1. Take the Victoria Line (Northbound) from Euston to Highbury & Islington.

2. Switch to the London Overground (Mildmay Line) platform and ride it straight to Stratford.

• Travel Time: ~30–35 minutes.

Option 4: Northern Line to Central Line

1. Take the Northern Line (Bank branch, Southbound) to Bank.

2. Switch at Bank to the Central Line (Eastbound) to Stratford.

• Travel Time: ~25–30 minutes.

To travel from London King's Cross to Stratford, you have three primary rail options, depending on whether you prefer the fastest route or direct Underground lines.

Travel Options

• Fastest Route (Southeastern High Speed): Walk 2 minutes next door to St Pancras International station. Take the Southeastern high-speed train to Stratford International.

  • Journey time: ~6 minutes.

  • Note: Requires a short walk (~8–10 minutes) across Westfield Shopping Centre to reach central Stratford / main Stratford Station.

• Direct Underground Route (Tube): Take the Northern Line southbound to Bank, then switch to the Central Line eastbound to Stratford Underground Station.

  • Journey time: ~20–25 minutes.

• Alternative Tube Route: Take the Hammersmith & City Line or Circle Line to Liverpool Street, then transfer to the Central Line, Elizabeth Line, or Greater Anglia train to Stratford.

  • Journey time: ~22–28 minutes.

Travel Tip: Standard Contactless card, Oyster card, or mobile payment (Apple Pay / Google Pay) works across all of these rail routes.

Yes, you can! We will also have a range of food available at the event.

We also have water bottle refill machines throughout LMA. May we take this opportunity to remind you that You Festival and LMA are nut free, so please refrain from bringing any nuts or spreads to the campus site

YES! We will host networking events, speed dating events, panels, workshops and Q&As, You will get to meet agents, labels, publishers, promoters, bookers, TV directors, casting agents, artists, producers, and industry figures from all the major music and TV/ Film streaming platforms and social media platforms

Level 6 students perform on stage (don't worry, your time will come! But there will be plenty of opportunities to perform and participate throughout the event itself.

Bring a smile and a positive attitude and be prepared to meet people that one day may help you get to the next level! Take notes on your phone, or bring a notepad, but please don't bring anything valuable like a laptop etc, leave these safely in your room to avoid stress!

The wellbeing & safety of our student attendees is our priority. Our full time student engagement teams work at both LMA campuses, looking after the needs of our students 24/7. Our teams work hard across You Festival to ensure that all our attendees have support throughout the event

The You Festival opening party is on Tuesday (26th) evening, doors and funfair open at 7pm, so plenty of  time to travel to London, get settled at your accommodation and make your way down to the party!
